Our Book Signing was fun and a great success!
Good morning to all,
I am writing from West Africa and thinking of our book signing just two and one half days ago.
My co-author, Claudine, knew that I was leaving for 7 weeks to Nigeria and wanted us to have our close friends and family gathering for books signing. It was great fun. I was touched that so many came out at such short notice and were so joyful to share the experience with us.
One of the great sadnesses in my life is how this dis-ease of Co-sex addiction claims women's ability and chose to have authentic connections to one another. In the disease, we see ourselves as competing for a man. Learning to live authentically also means learning to trust and with so many of us having difficulty trusting, we do not know how to connect, reach out and support the successes and dreams of our women friends and sisters. Each of us have a mother as well and so we must also understand the ways we have been hurt and wounded in our relationship with our mother and be willing to walk the courage journey of healing this relationship. Often, this is the hardest work we do on our this Spiritual Journey. We go to our family of origin relationships and are honest with ourselves, break the enmeshment and recreate this relationship with those who raised us. If this does not happen, women will try to work these issues out with other women and again, interrupt and interfere with the creation of authentic, close and honest relationships with one another.
This journey of healing emotionally, spiritually, physically, intellectually and relationally is a courage one that teaches authentic self love and healthy love for others, most especially our sisters.
So, it was especially gratifying and joyful to witness so many of our sisters and friends who came to support this launching and success of our book. There was laughter, acknowledgment, appreciation and authentic connection all around.
This is powerful testament of a woman's maturity; her ability and willingness to honor and join in the joyful celebration of another woman's accomplishment and success.
As a reflection exercise in your own life, look to see if you are able to have joy for your own successes, receive honor and blessings from others for these accomplishments and offer your joy and appreciation to other women in their dreams and achievements. It is a great 'measurement' of your own healing and maturity in your authentic connections with women.

With love,
Sally and Claudine
